If you've ever thought about a project, be it an app, software or what have you, you know how all kinds of ideas can pop up, but are they all realistic to the kind of product you’re looking for? This is where scope becomes not only a necessity, but a means by which the process can be made simpler both for those generating ideas and for those developing said ideas. Likewise, staffing can be a major issue as there are usually more projects than there are "quality" developers. That being said, if the answer to either question is no, then it's time to look for help.
Project management best practices remind us that if we successfully initiate, plan, execute and close out all our projects, our metrics will illustrate greater results. While such a statement highlights the end goal, there’s much more to project management than simple methodology.
