So, you're ready to think about hiring a developer for your website, mobile app or whatever project you have in mind? Have you done the preliminary work and research? With no shortage of developers in field, you have the potentially arduous task of having to select the best one for your project. But, there's good news. It doesn't have to be nearly as complex as it sounds.
When a project has been established, a development company must consider two key questions. Do they have enough staff on hand to bring the project from start to completion while staying within the boundaries of time and budget? Furthermore, do they have the right staff to develop the software and manage the project? It's not uncommon for a company to struggle to meet such expectations. Likewise, staffing can be a major issue as there are usually more projects than there are "quality" developers. That being said, if the answer to either question is no, then it's time to look for help.
Project management is an important part of any company, regardless of the type, source or outcome. There's a lot to do, and time is always limited. Any project is a short-term action that has a timeframe and seldom lasts for longer than two years. It stands to reason that project managers must make the most of what have to work with. If you look at it in terms of sports, the role of a project manager is very much like that of a soccer coach. They are given a team to shape into an effective force with rules to follow and limited resources. Everyone would like a dream team, but the best coach is one who can make champions.
